Seven new Standard Input Output Norms notified for chemicals
The DGFT has notified seven new SIONs for chemical and pharmaceutical products including Theophylline, Liraglutide, Lumefantrine, and Meropenem formulations. These norms specify permitted import quantities for each export product unit. Regional Authorities can now grant Advance Authorisations directly without committee referral.
Action: Exporters claiming Advance Authorisation for these seven products must comply with the specified input-output norms; Regional Authorities will apply these norms directly without individual application processing.
Who is affected: Exporters of chemical and allied products (Theophylline, Liraglutide, Lumefantrine, Meropenem 500mg/1000mg/2gm formulations, and Ophthalmic Solutions) using Advance Authorisation scheme.
