India-Oman trade now uses electronic Certificate of Origin system
From June 1, 2026, exporters to Oman must file Certificates of Origin electronically via Trade Connect ePlatform (www.trade.gov.in) instead of paper. The system generates digital copies with QR codes and digital signatures. Existing DGFT login credentials can be reused.
Action: Register on Trade Connect ePlatform (www.trade.gov.in) and familiarize yourself with the eCOO filing process before June 1, 2026.
Who is affected: All exporters shipping goods to Oman under the India-Oman CEPA agreement.
