FSC certificates now auto-issued on DGFT portal, manual review eliminated
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has enabled automated issuance of Free Sale and Commerce Certificates (FSC) on its online portal. Eligible applications are now auto-approved based on risk parameters, while non-compliant cases still go to Regional Authorities for manual review. This shifts from the previous manual verification process to a system-driven, paperless workflow.
Action: Exporters applying for FSC certificates should submit applications online on the DGFT portal and monitor their account for automated or manual approval decisions.
Who is affected: All exporters of items not covered under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 who apply for FSC certificates.
