New Open API for Certificate of Origin on Trade Connect
DGFT has launched an Open API framework allowing exporters and certifying agencies to digitally submit, process, and verify Certificates of Origin (both preferential and non-preferential) through the Trade Connect e-Platform. This replaces manual processes and enables seamless integration with user systems for FTA/RTA benefits and customs compliance.
Action: Certifying agencies and exporters must obtain API onboarding credentials, whitelist their public IP addresses, configure document signers, and integrate their systems with the CoO Portal API before submitting certificates.
Who is affected: All exporters, certifying agencies, and regulatory authorities issuing or processing Certificates of Origin under FTAs, RTAs, PTAs, or for non-preferential trade purposes.
