India-UK CETA: Authorized agencies for preferential certificates added
The government has notified authorized agencies that can issue preferential Certificates of Origin under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Multiple government bodies including DGFT, APEDA, MPEDA, Spices Board, and various special economic zones are now permitted to issue these certificates for their respective product categories.
Action: If exporting to UK under India-UK CETA, obtain your preferential Certificate of Origin from the designated agency listed for your product category.
Who is affected: Exporters of agricultural products, marine products, spices, textiles, handicrafts, tobacco, silk, coir, and goods from special economic zones (Cochin, Falta, Kandla, MEPZ, NOIDA, SEEPZ, Vishakhapatnam) who trade with the United Kingdom.
