Ad-hoc norms validity extended to March 2028
The DGFT extended the validity period of ad-hoc norms ratified by Norms Committees from 01.04.2015 onwards until 31.03.2028 (instead of three years from ratification). This allows exporters to repeatedly use these ratified norms during the extended validity period for continuity and predictability.
Action: No action needed; exporters can continue using previously ratified ad-hoc norms up to 31.03.2028 without reapplying or seeking fresh ratification.
Who is affected: All exporters applying for Advance Authorization under HBP-2023 who rely on ad-hoc norms ratified by Norms Committees, except those for items listed in Appendix 4P.
