PSIC issuance timeline revised to 2 days; backlog relaxation granted
DGFT has revised the Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) issuance timeline to 2 days from inspection date. A one-time 7-day grace period is given to clear backlog PSICs from inspections before 25.08.2026.
Action: PSIAs must issue PSICs within 2 days of inspection and upload from the same geographical location; use 7-day window to clear pre-25.08.2026 backlog PSICs.
Who is affected: All recognized Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIAs) and exporters whose shipments require PSIC certification.
