DGFT revises Standard Input Output Norms for chemical products
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has updated the Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for six chemical product categories under Export Product Group 'A'. These revised norms specify the exact input quantities (raw materials) required to produce one unit of output for export purposes. The changes take effect immediately.
Action: Exporters claiming duty benefits under these SIONs must update their records and export documentation to reflect the revised input norms specified in Annexure-A, effective immediately.
Who is affected: Chemical and allied products exporters using SIONs A1090, A1794, A1827, A3105, A3106, and A3107 (caustic soda, gelatine, ossein, chlorinated paraffin of various grades).
