UK CETA tariff quota applications invited for vehicles CY 2026
India's DGFT is inviting applications for Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) allocations under the India-UK CETA for calendar year 2026. Two product categories are open: passenger vehicles (2,329 units) and goods transport vehicles (1,164 units). Applications must be submitted between 21 July and 4 August 2026.
Action: Eligible importers must submit TRQ applications to DGFT between 21 July 2026 and 4 August 2026 following procedures in Annexure-VII of Appendix 2A of FTP 2023.
Who is affected: Indian importers of motor vehicles (HS 8703 and 8704 chapters) seeking to import passenger cars and commercial vehicles from the United Kingdom under preferential tariff quotas.
