India-UK CETA: Electronic Certificate of Origin filing goes live
Starting July 15, 2026, Indian exporters to the UK must use the Trade Connect ePlatform (www.trade.gov.in) to apply for and obtain Preferential Certificates of Origin electronically. Applications can be filed either through self-declaration (using Digital Signature) or via authorized agencies, both at no fee.
Action: Register on Trade Connect ePlatform using existing DGFT credentials, link your IEC with a valid Digital Signature (DSC), and update your IEC details in DGFT system before filing eCOO applications from July 15, 2026.
Who is affected: All Indian exporters with IEC selling goods to the UK under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
