Export policy tariff codes aligned with 2026 Finance Act
India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has updated Schedule-II of the Export Policy to match new ITC (HS) 2022 tariff classifications under the Finance Act 2026. Multiple product entries across 21 chapters have been added, deleted, or reclassified to maintain policy consistency with the revised customs nomenclature.
Action: Exporters must verify their product HS codes against the updated Schedule-II (Annexure-II) and confirm applicable export policies (Free, Restricted, Deleted, or conditional) before shipment.
Who is affected: Exporters of agricultural products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, minerals, textiles, metals, and engineered goods classified under the updated HS codes in Chapters 3–86.
