India-UK CETA added to FTA list; self-declaration CoO option enabled
India has added the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) to its list of Free Trade Agreements. Exporters can now obtain Certificates of Origin (CoO) for India-UK CETA shipments either through self-declaration or via authorised agencies, matching the existing process for India-EFTA TEPA.
Action: Exporters using India-UK CETA should familiarise themselves with the self-declaration CoO option as an alternative to agency-issued certificates.
Who is affected: All Indian exporters shipping goods under the India-UK CETA preferential trade agreement.
