Four new SIONs notified for chemical and pharma exports
The DGFT has notified four new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for pharmaceutical and chemical products: Cefuroxime Sterile Sodium, NAS-5, Tobramycin, and Schaeffers Acid. This allows Regional Authorities to directly issue Advance Authorisations without referring each case to the Norms Committee, speeding up approvals.
Action: If you export these four chemicals/pharma products, you can now apply directly to Regional Authorities using the new SIONs (A-3698, A-3699, A-3700, A-3701) with specified input-output ratios.
Who is affected: Exporters of pharmaceutical and chemical products (Cefuroxime, NAS-5, Tobramycin, Schaeffers Acid) under Product Code A seeking Advance Authorisations.
